Re: II Corinthians 6-10

It occurred to me after Bible Study this morning that Julie's ESL work is probably more relevant to the translation problems we've been talking about than anything from the academic study of Greek. I didn't quite hear the term she gave to English verbs with prepositions attached - not something I remember from hgh school English grammer, and I had an outstanding teacher my last three semesters. Then it occurred to me that Greek does the same thing, but puts the preposition before the verb, as part of it, and then the meaning starts out as the combination and develops from there. Having said that the only example that comes to might is a noun - strophe becomes kata-strophe.
You never know where this class is going, which is a good part of the fun.
